Due to my position in the industry i always get asked about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) over the months i have been constantly getting bombarded by clients and people who are trying hard at SEO for their websites from Corporate level down to the SME company asking me what has happened to Alexa.com, stated they updated details or photos etc on their website months ago and no updates have been done after they submitted the changes to them.
So this intrigued me i then decided a few months back to make changes on our network of sites through out our companies and told Alexa.com about the changes now our network of sites cover our main corporate enterprize which receives over 20,000 visitors a day down to some personal sites our employees have and 16 weeks later no change of info or picture update has been done to any of them.
So our advice is do not rely on Alexa.com anymore its obviously extremely poorly run or its dead... if you are looking to fully optimize your website/online business remember Dmoz.org is the place to be it feeds so many engines and directories.
If i get any more updates on this field i will obviously update you all but this is very sad as Alexa.com was a good source to use and it was reported along time back it wasnt working anymore but then it seemed to be back in the forefront again but so much time has passed its obvious something is very very wrong at Alexa.com
